Back to school, are we? Why, yes we are. The first three days of school went fine. However, I'm already seeing an aura of negativity. Firstly, no one is happy with the new English teacher, and for the lamest reason: I hate the new teacher; Linda was so much better. Well, there is one thing wrong with that -- Linda is no longer here! We all have to move on. We can't sit and reminisce about the past. There is nothing left in the past; everything is in the future. Yeah, some may think that she may not be as good as Linda, but isn't it up to the student to succeed? Yes, the teacher guides the student, but that's all she does. In the end, it's up to us to succeed, not the teacher. And honestly, what has it been? Two classes? And people are already forming opinions? You know what? Instead of finding all the negative things about a person, find the good and positive things about the person. Believe me, there is a whole lot of good out in the world, than there is bad. Yeah, of course each person is going to have SOME negative qualities. I mean don't we all? But, we also have a tremendous amount of good qualities. We should look for these good qualities in others, and not be quick about forming opinions, and especially, negative ones.
Other than that, people just seem to be annoyed about going back to school. Yes, at times, it seems painful that we are, all of sudden, put back into this "real" world where we have to actually work. However, we shouldn't be bitching about that, we should be thankful that we have this opportunity. You know, most of my relatives are lost people -- they live in India, their parents are naive, which makes their children naive. The boys go to school, study, and get some lame job in India. The girls study their asses off just to become house wives. That is the reality in my family. That is the reality in most of the world. Take a walk down some of the 3rd world countries. You'll see people rotting in small shacks just because they weren't giving a proper education. And here we are bitching about how we have to go to this amazing school, which, by the way, costs $27,000 a year now. We are bitching about an amazing education, which will take us anywhere we want to go; which will save us from the hell that most of the world is living? I'm not sure, but something doesn't seem to add up here. I say, we appreciate what we're given because it is a rare opportunity. C'mon people! Squeeze all you can out of this education! Learn what most of the world doesn't get the opportunity to learn!
Well, this entry was just to remind people to stay optimistic and to look at "the big picture" (Quoted from Jordan). Just as a great friend of mine said today, our problems about being annoyed by school and whatnot are nothing compared to all the problems that some people have to face. Yes, true, to each his/her own problems, and he/she will think of them as the most important thing in the world. But, I guess that only people with an open mind will be able to absorb and understand this entry. For the rest, I have no idea what to say.
