Busy, busy, busy!

What a week! There's so much going on now, I feel like it's impossible for me to keep my head on straight. Green Day should really change the lyrics of their song...'Wake Me Up When OCTOBER Ends' would be much more appropriate. Does anyone else just hate October??? No matter how I try to prepare, it kicks my ass every year...too many birthdays, anniversaries, social opportunities, and school responsibilities. I think in 2006 we should go straight from September to November...do not pass 'Go,' do not collect $200, just go directly to November!
Last week was bittersweet. I stressed all week over getting my exam back, only to find that I passed with flying colors - yaaaay! In retrospect, I should have skipped lecture on Friday and headed up to State for the whole weekend...oh well, c'est la vie! At least I didn't have to get up at 4:30am on Friday like my parents did; they had to drive to Annapolis for Mom's cousin's funeral at the Naval Academy. I didn't know Jamie, but he sounded like a really amazing person...and he was so young, 51 I think. It just makes you want to appreciate everyone a little bit more, doesn't it?!
Dr. Kriebel sent out the calendar for the second term this morning. I scolled through it briefly before I ran out the door, but I'm glad I did because it made my day -- our first exam is the Tuesday before Thanksgiving (in the morning, no less)!!! They told us earlier it would be on Wednesday, which didn't leave much travel time and almost forced the cancellation of the 5th annual Pre-Turkey Day Turkey Day bash... Thank God for small favors! (FYI: You guys can kick and scream all you want to, but I'm still going to do mini-physicals on each and every one of you...so be a good sport! You DO want to see what I've been doing down here all this time, don't you?!?!? wink, wink) From the calendar it looks like we have a decent number of breaks second semester which totally rocks; Hell officially ends Wednesday 2/22 and is followed by a 4-day weekend!!!! Third semester will be much better -- good thing because I'm so going to the Phillies' Opening Day and at least one game opening weekend (Dodgers are in town)! It's about time they fired Wade, too.
Well, it's 9 bells...time to multitask - watch the Angels kick some Yankee ass/watch the Steelers crush the Chargers/study. Damn, I'm talented!!!
