Miss me?
Uuuggghhh!
I would be very very happy if life could just slow down for once...one week, that's all I ask. I need to catch my breath; so much has happened over the last month since graduation. For instance, California was simply wonderful (rushed, but wonderful - see me for pictures...lol) I miss that crew soooo much, and I broke down and bought a Kelly Clarkson CD...yes, I know, but it's good for those times (which occur more and more frequently of late) when I just need to scream in frustration. Aaaaaand...I'm currently typing this on my brand new laptop! Yippee!!! I hooked it up, did the necessary installations/downloads, and managed to get connected to the internet ALL BY MYSELF! (Guess you don't really need a guy around, afterall... *insert smug grin*) This computer totally rocks my world...I hope it's PCOM-compatible because I'm really getting attached to it. Guess I'll find out tomorrow!!!
In other news, I think I found a place in Philly! (Boo to Jerf and JoeMo for not moving out of the suburbs to shack up with yours truly...I'd make cookies!!!!!!) At least tomorrow night I'll get to go out (hopefully to Manayunk?!) with Joe, Jen, and Kristina (the Lucy to my Ethel) -- I can't wait!!!!! I want Kris and Jen to take me to the pastry shop they were telling me about because I could really go for some authentic cannoli right about now, and I wouldn't refuse a good cheesesteak either. I'm such a fatty...maybe I should take a step back and think about moving to a more "healthy" city. Hahaha, right. I'm also quite proud of myself for my awesome city driving lately. I made it from Citizen's Bank Park to Kristi's (Temple) - driving past City Hall - without incident. Booya! Anyway, my goal is to sign a lease tomorrow or Saturday.
I can't wait for JPo to come home. The girls, Joe, and I watched HITCH the other night and it just really felt like she should be there. But, she's out having the time of her life in WY (with all the hot guys) and will be back before we know it! Last night I went on a date with my parents to see MR & MRS SMITH --- damn, is Brad Pitt ever H.O.T. Jessie would have been loving that one, too! She'd also get a kick out of the stories surrounding how I had been hit on 3x last week...LOL!
Zachary's at the beach. They left Sunday morning at 5am...I was at work until 3am so I just stayed up a few extra hours to see them off...those guys are a bunch of clowns, but I love them dearly. They were so funny last Monday night when they had an all night poker party after graduation...Ben and Kevin are so frickin hilarious, I could have stayed up all night listening to those 6 "little old men" jabber away (but some of us need to get up at 5:30am for work)! Speaking of work, I get paid tomorrow and it promises to be a good paycheck seeing as how I have 8+ hours of overtime for this past week. In fact, I have to get a shower soon so that I can go in to work today...I can't wait to see what my lab schedule is like! You have no idea how long I've been waiting for this moment!!!!!!
Getting back to the beach... I really hope that we can find enough people willing to make the trip with us in August -- such a busy month. I'm just glad that everything seems to be working out: beach, bachelorette party, orientation, white coat ceremony, pig roast, classes, and wedding...nothing overlaps or conflicts! This almost never happens in my life!!!!! Now, if only I could decide on a wedding present...Pat & Kristen, you two are so damn hard to buy for! I also need to get on the ball and start thinking about what I'm going to wear and who I'm going to take...but I guess we still have 2 months to decide all that.
I want to go to Roots on Tuesday...maybe I can convince Mom to go with me after I get off work. Well, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to stop rambling and make a pot of coffee/shower before I end up running late for work. Afterall, the only reason I'm writing in this is because I know Jessie will want to read it and catch up on everything when she gets back from Wyoming in another 2 wks...clearly no one else has the time to read nonsense like this!
