Just taking a moment to track shipment on my Harry Potter book:

July 20, 2007 06:22:00 AM DENTON TX US Departure Scan

Yay! It's in Denton. I wonder how long it will take to get it tomorrow. I hope it comes early. Here is my personal plan for the weekend:

Our second extra bedroom is my little office/haven, which has my desk/laptop and books and things, but also a cute little twin bed. Once the book arrives, I will be holing myself up in there with plenty of tissues and bottles of water. The bathroom is right next door, and the kitchen right down the hall, so I will be all set for basic needs. I will not exit until it is time for Neal's wedding in the afternoon.

I will risk getting nauseated from reading in the car and keep reading as we travel. Like on our trip last weekend, while re-reading book six, this may result in bewildered amazement on Neal's behalf if I start sobbing at a particularly profound loss. It just depends on what is going on in the story at the time.

Once we arrive at the hotel the event is at, I will look for the most cozy and hopefully quiet and hidden corner I can find and continue reading, while Neal photographs his event. I want to at least get halfway and I think this is a reasonable goal for the day.

After Neal's event, it will be late, but we will be meeting Jesh to celebrate his birthday. I'm not sure if I will get any more chances to read before we crash at Jesh's, but I definitely will try. When we stay over there, I usually end up pulling a book off his shelf and reading it anyway when we wake up in the morning. We will have to wait and see.

Sunday, we will probably bum around for most of the morning, waiting for everyone to come out of their alcohol induced sleep comas, and head out somewhere for lunch. We had previously discussed trying to go see the Star Wars exhibit in Fort Worth while we were out there, but that was before I decided to buy tickets to Harry Potter at the Imax theater.

We were near the theater last weekend, and thought we'd stop in and try to catch it in Imax 3D, because Neal hadn't seen OOTP yet. Yeah right. It's been selling out for days in advance. So earlier this week I bought tickets for a 5:15 showing on Sunday, because I knew we'd be over there anyways after hanging out with Jesh.

So Sunday will include all the reading I can manage and an awesome Imax experience for Order of the Phoenix. It should be amazing! Reading straight through, with little to no interruptions I re-read book six in about 10 hours. This one is about 100 pages longer, so I think I can finish without having to sneak it to work on Monday. At least I'm usually by myself here at the office! :)

Anyways. This is so long, but I am just really excited/scared. Wheeeeeee!!!!
