oh well...
howdy...
well as some of you may know already we had a competition yesterday. the band did a truly AWESOME!!!!! job! i was so excited. also the highsteppers and our majorette did really well. oh yes...and our drum majors did too. so everybody got best in class except for the colorguard. we were about a point and a half away from the "other" guard that won. it was a major blow. it hurt so bad. i was so excited for the band and the others but at the same time i felt like my heart had been ripped out. i wish that the younger girls didn't have to experience that. i tried not to cry but the tears just came anyway. i guess all we can do is just suck it up and hold our heads high and work really hard this week and show who is who! we are playing clay this week so i guess we'll just see. oh and to make things even better it rained! and when i say it rained i mean it poured! i was FREEZING. (which is usually the case anyway). i watched the competition today and i can see why the band won... i mean what was clay thinking when they picked their music?? ewww...it was bad. i won't say anything about the guard b/c they did a good job. i mean there were problems but that is just gonna happen. really i thought that it was about equal in terms of cleaness. but our show was much harder. wouldn't it be incredibly awesome if it was like the olympics and they judge on difficulty also. so if u just did a really easy show there is really no way you could win ...that way every guard(and anyone else) would be forced to work their butts off and then everybody would be in the same boat. i mean i don't know how hard the other guards worked but i know that we worked EXTREMELY hard! but that is not how it is so i guess i'll just stop my nonsense! lol. but anyway i just wanna say CONGRATULATIONS to everybody ...including my fellow HTHS guard members. ya'll worked really hard and i am very proud of all of u. remember... no excuses leave everything u have on that field! now let's get ready for the georgia competition and let's kick some georgia butt!
