You certainly do smell trouble! *evil grin* And Superman will definitely be around, but not as either Lois or Jason expects. :)

How many will you try to read before having to shop?

What a first chapter to try and get someone hooked! ;) I've never read SR fic, or any other L&C incarnation than the one I've known forever. *g*

Now, I do have a few questions before I dive in. *g*

1. How long is this?
2. Is it finished or a WIP or a WIP with a clear end in sight?
3. Not really a question, but if you tell me there's angsty Clark in here, I'm sold!

You asked how I felt about SR: I went in to the theater expecting not to love it because it wasn't my Lois and Clark. And, I think, because of that, I LOVED it! I was seriously wowed by it and, besides, I got Superman TEARS! I'd been dying for those. *g* Yeah, I'm a lot little irked by the whole Superman II memory thing and all that, but this fic looks like it'll fix that with lots of angst on the way. Yeah? Anyway, that said, I think I may want to find time to rewatch Superman II (it's been seriously a decade) and then SR before I dive in fully, that way I'll have fully soaked in the atmosphere of this L&C ( ... )

Thanks for giving it a shot! Now for your questions:

1) It will be just over 100,000 words when finished, 39 chapters thus far.
2) It is a WIP, with only one chapter to go (Ch. 40). Within a week it will be finished (I usually update once a week or every 10 days when school's in session)
3) There is plenty of angst, mostly revolving around the love triangle between Lois, Clark and Richard. Some Jason angst, too, but not a ton. But since it is a completely Lois POV story, the angst comes through her thoughts, and the way the other characters react.

A lot of people ended up rewatching SII because of this fic. But it's not necessary. I did try to summarize what happened when anything is referred to. But it wouldn't hurt!

I'm very proud of this story. My longest ever, and most popular by far. It has 1742 reviews at ff.net, for example. Mind-blowing.

He nodded slightly, grinning. He trusted her implicitly - he was young enough not to think any other way. It warmed her, but scared her a little, that she held his little heart in her hands. Did he have any idea that Superman was his father? They seemed to have such a connection in the brief time that the Man of Steel and her son had interacted. She worried what this would do to him. So once again, she told herself she had made the right decision in keeping the truth from him until he was older.

I loved this passage. It's a heavy burden having the 100% trust of a child. It's a combination of joy and fear when such a thing happens and you put it well here. I also liked that Lois noticed the connection between the two. Even without the knowledge of his father, Jason clicks with Superman... Smart as Jason is I wonder how long he will remain in the dark...

Her Pulitzer-winning article ‘Why The World Doesn’t Need Superman’ could probably have been entitled ‘Why Lois Lane Doesn’t Need Superman’ with very little alteration.

ROFL AMEN ( ... )

Yay! You're reading! :D

It's a heavy burden having the 100% trust of a child.

I feel that all the time with my little munchkin, so I really feel that with her.

His very presence moves her. -sighs- Ah the romance!

I almost feel like these two have such an electric chemistry, drawn together regardless of the painful history between them.

That's an interesting take that something in Superman would have a baby develop a little bit faster. I was actually thinking that they might be a little slower. If she conceived Jason a few months before meeting Richard, then Jason was born 2 months premature...

the very experience of being pregnant breaks through whatever force was behidn the lip whammy. BRILLIANT!

Thanks! It just made sense to me that being so close to him would help the memories resurface, if only for a time.

This is where her reporter nature is going to server her well. She will get to the bottom of this! I love the idea of the fact that Superman gave himself away by coming to see Jason. Because he knew he gave Lois the ( ... )
