Dearest Barbara,

For the last several days I've been thinking about how best to ask this...

Would it be okay if I started translating some of your stories into German?

I'm flattered. :) Let me ask a couple questions first?

1) Is there a site with an interested fanbase?
2) Would you be able to pass along translated feedback?
3) How would you go about crediting and so forth?

My inclination is yes, but tell me more first before I give complete approval. :)

1) I know several people who aren't all too fluent in English, but who just love to read good fanfic (and you know I adore yours!) - these would be the people I'd mainly translate stuff (ATM, probably mostly Superman?) for. Plus, there's a couple forums (http://www.superman-forum.de/, http://www.folc.eu.tf/) with a lively German-based fanbase...
2.) Most definitely. :)
3.) Credit would look more or less like this, "... by Barbara Thomas, translated into German by KitKaos", so you'd still get full credit, of course.

Okay, so I started and I hope it's okay I started with Deja Vu.
Would you want me to send you what I've got as I go along? Is there an email address I can reach you at? Should I post translations of German feedback directly in the comments?
