If it's Saturday, this must be Addis Ababa...

...or another chapter of Déjà Vu has been written and sent off to the betas! Whichever.

I hope that sean_montgomery and bistyboo1974 have better luck with their Muses the rest of this weekend! Mine never really lets me alone in the middle of a story...

Thanks for both of your thoughts. And as for the little one - it's 10pm now, and she's STILL not sleeping. Grr. Oh well.

More teasers! Barb, you're driving me CRAZY! : )

The muse is still a-ticken, but she's being a little onry right now. She doesn't want to think about Richard as much as I'm making her (not yet, anyway). Any advice?

Are you saying that Lois doesn't want to think about Richard? I guess, as a married woman, I would have her wonder these sorts of things (even if she already has - the thoughts would probably make a mental loop):

Where is he?
Is he safe?
What was he getting into?
Why didn't he tell me about it? (With the added bonus of: How honest are you with him - ex: Jason's father...)
Could I possibly ask Superman for help without seeming like a total slut?
Are they going after Richard to get to me or my son?

These are just a few things. Plus she should probably see things around the house that remind her of him, and cause a wave of panic or sadness, a clenching of her gut... and if she does this around Clark - what delicious angst!

Does that help?

Heh, sorry! I was talking about the muse - the MUSE doesn't want to be thinking about Richard. But Lois sure should. I'm going over chapters seven and eight right now and am giving Lois more misery moments, which will eventually lead up to Clark getting information out of her (why she went, how did she know where to go, etc.) Some house items will come into play. I just need to focus on the emotional reeling than the mystery itself (for the moment).

Your ideas are noted - thank you for them! They do help, but the biggest thing right now is making sure all of this dialogue and stuff makes sense. To be honest, I think I might have to cut chapter eight into two parts and make Richard's debut chapter ten instead of nine!

Oops, saying too much already. ;)

Yes... wineglasses... *cue spooky music*

Ashlyn finally went to sleep. But AFTER I did. Luckily she just stayed in her room, watching a video. Sigh. Girl just doesn't need as much sleep as her mama!

This so reminds me of a poem/story that was told to my class in elementary school around Halloween about a house, and inside the house was a bedroom, and inside the bedroom was a closet, a shelf, a box, a bag, etc...and it was spoken in a slow and creepy tone of voice so that each revelation made it scarier and yet more intriguing.

Of course, my friends and I retold that story at home, and because we were in silly moods, one friend waited until we were right at that crucial point near the end of the story - "and inside the box..." - to yell out cheerily, "A bag of jellybeans!" *laughs* STILL cracks me up.

So, somewhere, in the mountains, Lois is entering a cabin, and in the cabin is some mysterious clues, and beyond the clues is a keypad to a door, and beyond the door is...

Here's to hoping it's not just a bag of jellybeans. :D *cheers*

Thanks for the teasers! Can't wait for the whole thing!! *huggles*

That was supposed to read, "And inside the box, there was a bag of jellybeans." Duh.

"And inside the box was..."

Well, you'll just have to see. Because there truly is something inside the box!!! Bwahahahahaha.

It's DEFINITELY not jellybeans. I promise. :)

Menace factor gets amped up in this second teaser. Lois seems to be in deep trouble and now she too has the feeling that someone else was in the cabin before their arrival. Who could it be? Someone sinister, probably.

Nice job, Barbara.
