Grrrrrrrrr, Argh

Taking our cats to the vet was heart wrenching for me. They needed to be microchipped, and were due for a check up. Frazier had a weepy eye and sometimes had digestive issues, so we wanted to make sure they both were in tip top shape. Lilly likes to hide in dark  places, so getting her into the carrier was no big deal, but Frazier fought a ton and wined the whole way. The noises they made when the chips were put in were so pitiful. We got a few things to put in their ears and things for them to eat, and it is a good thing Rob isn't TDY because it would be damn near impossible to hold the cat, hold the ear open, and get 5-7 drops in without getting my eyes clawed out.

I took the cats back home, and then drove back to base for bowling. Turns out Rob and I are the old married couple, with everyone else married less than a year, and us a little over 5. My handicap is still over 100, but I am by far not the worse on the team, and we had a  great time getting to know everyone. Plus, the food is not half bad.

Today, I have to go to the gym (now that I am over my cold) and stop by the school district to drop off paperwork. I faxed it on Monday, but it has yet to post to my application online, and the person I faxed it to has ignored 2 messages and two emails failed to be delivered, so I'm not 100% sure she received them. The first email was from my gmail account was declared undeliverable, so I tried another email and it was denied the same way. This is especially odd since the error message was about domain, and I had corresponded with other people from the school district through both of those accounts. Also, this woman gave me the run around about a form I supposedly need to fill out to prove I am highly qualified (hello, I qualified for a PROFESSIONAL LICENSE). She was supposed to email it to me on Monday, and I don't have it. Nor has she tried to call me to say, hey, we're having email problems, I can't get you the form. I emailed another person in the same office with a question since I had spoke to him about this form 6 months ago (he, of course, told me I didn't have to do anything with it since I'd qualify for a professional teaching license) and asked him to send me the form also since I had not received it from the first person. His response was to answer one of the 3 questions I asked, and not send me the form either.  And, no, you can't find it online. The woman asked me what job I was applying for the first time I called her on Monday, so I am a bit suspicious now that it really feels like she is dragging her feet. I know the county is huge, but there are not that many jobs open in the school district, so they do not have a ton to do.
