Went to the place and found out there's no air conditioning. Not a problem if it wasn't 80 degrees outside, but it's also the fact it's a machine shop with plastics and the machinery makes everything about 20 degrees hotter (maybe not, but it felt like it). The HR person I met with ushered me into the cafeteria through the floor and I almost lost a few pounds sweating just from that. There was no way I was going to be able to handle 9 hours in there, never mind a month or so. I told them I couldn't do it just before the shift started, and left, calling the temp agency that sent me.
The major problem I have with the heat is that it gives me headaches and makes my stomach roil. That's the major reason I stay in my house all summer long. So, no job (SOB!) yet. I'll keep looking and trying.
