Gabriella found herself feeling wonderfully giddy when in his presence. He looked at her with love and dare in his eyes and a warm flare rose from deep within her belly.
“Let’s play,” he grinned one night with narrowed eyes, the grass in her backyard slippery with dew.
“Troy!” she smiled as he took off towards her fence. Out of breath she caught up with him and he gripped her wrists. All he did was laugh and there was that flare again.
The deep blue in his eyes always reminded her of gentler things.
Like Cinderella and rain in spring.
