Ryan knew that Zeke wasn't the *right* Wildcat, just the same as he knew that he was a replacement for the *right* Evans but somehow that didn't seem to matter. Not when there was an endless supply of warm freshly baked cookies to steal and even warmer kisses that were given readily.
Zeke looks on with amusement as Troy complained to Ryan about dancing with Sharpay, seeing his friends look of horror as she steps back into his arms he can’t help but think that maybe his friends would kind of understand how he ended up with Ryan over her.

Kelsi froze in shock as Ryan pressed his mouth firmly against hers, arms wrapped awkwardly around her waist.
“Anything?” He almost whispered as he broke away after what felt like an eternity.
“Nothing.” Kelsi almost whimpered in return, unable to bring herself to meet his eyes, afraid of what she might see in them if she did.
“Oh thank God, me neither.” If she wasn’t almost weak with it herself Kelsi would have been slightly hurt by the obvious relief in Ryan’s voice. “Friends?” She looked up and smiled before being swept into a tight hug laughing with him.
“Forever.”
