~Maid & Master~ Ch. 7
“Come on! The next song's starting!” Shizu said pulling Aya outta the restroom. “Hurry up! Hurry up! Hurry up!”
“Shizu, you were the one taking forever. So don't rush me!” Aya told her as they stood on the sidelines listening to Ultra Music Power. They cheered as the song ended and Hey! Say! 7, the 5 younger members, went backstage.
“So, you girls enjoying yourself?” Yamada asked as Shizu smiled happily, “Yes! Totally! You guys are so awesome!” He smiled, “Great, but sadly... its coming to an end soon--”
“WHAT?!” Shizu screamed in disbelief. “But this is heaven! Heaven can't come to an end!”
“Sorry... but you wouldn't want us dying from exhaustion now would you?” he told her as she rapidly shook her head, “No! No! No! That'd be horrible!” At that moment as Haruka and Reila were focusing on Hey! Say! BEST, the older members, performing, and Shizu was talking with Yamada, Aya heard, “Come here for a minute...” She walked a few feet away from the girls as Yuto asked with a smile, “So how're you like the concert?”
“It's fun.” she smiled. “Compared to always being back here helping you getting ready for your next scene, it's way better. Speaking of which, you seem to be doing just fine without me.” He shrugged, “Seriously, I don't see why you're always complaining... this stuff I tell you to do is so easy.” she gave him a look, “Well you aren't being order around by a devil who even hell didn't want...” He smiled sarcastically, “Aww, that's then nicest thing you've ever said to me Aya...”
“Anytime...” she said serious. “Well I'm gonna head back before they get suspicious--”
“Alright... but FYI, even if the concert's over... there's gonna be more surprises in store for you.” he said as he walked towards the dressing room.
“What are you planning?”
“Nothing... but you're in for a real surprise...” he called back to her. She sighed, “Now what are you up to...”
“Encore! Encore! Encore!” the audience screamed as HSJ left the stage. Shizu screamed at the top of her lungs, “ENCORE~!”
“... and now I think I'm deaf...” Aya sighed, giving up on covering her ears from Shizu. She gave an apologetic smile, “My bad-YAY~!” The JUMP members emerged for one last song and began singing.
“Thank you everyone for coming and supporting us!” Yabu screamed into the mic to the audience. “And Thank you to the other Johnny's boys for helping us! Especially our new debut band BI Shadow!” Four boys stepped up and introduced themselves, “Matsumura Hokuto! Kikuchi Fuma! Kochi Yugo! NakaKen!”
“Eh?” Aya said trying to look. “Haruka, move I can't see!”
“Wait hang on! I can't see the new stars from here!” she said trying to get a good look at them. Shizu gave a look, “Whoa~ I'm going crazy, for a second one of them looked like your loser boyfriend Aya...” She gave her a look as Shizu said, “Whoops... Sorry.”
“You realize if that's really him, you've been offending a celebrity for the past 3 yrs.” she explained as she waved it off, “Aya, seriously as if that Jerk could be so awesome. Besides, we both know he's always babysitting his cousin saturday nights. He can't be here.”
“Yea... good point.” she stated. The crowd began piling out as the concert finally ended and Haruka and Reila took off with Shizu.
“Sure you don't need a ride?” Shizu questioned as she nodded, “Yea. My mom's on her way. I'll see you three on Monday.” She nodded and drove off as Aya sighed in relief and headed back into the dome.
“There you are! Hurry up and carry these into the car! I'm so exhausted I just want to sleep!” Yuto groaned as she stared at his large boxes of costumes and props. She groaned, “Alright...” She picked up two and began walking slowly towards the door as Keito was walking in.
“Oh, hey... let me help you with that...” he said taking the box on top. She sighed, “Keito, thank god you're Yuto's friend. I'm really hoping your manners will rub off on him.” He smiled as Yuto said, “Well Aya. You can grab this last box since Keito's got that one.”
“Yuto, come on. You're walking to the same car. You carry one.” Keito told him as he groaned and did.
“Why does he listen to you and not me?” she questioned. He shrugged, “I dunno. He just does.”
“You need to teach me your secrets.” she giggled as he laughed. Yuto paced and walked in front of them, placing the box in the trunk of his car. Keito and Aya placed theirs in as Yuto said, “Just my drums left.. Aya-”
“I'll get them.” Keito said. “Seriously Yuto. If you ever told a girl carry heavy things in England, you'd get slapped.” He walked off as Aya said, “I feel like slapping him everyday...” He sneered at her as she said, “Well, I didn't get anymore surprises tonight... or were you talking about a surprise at home?” He said shocked, “You didn't see?”
“See what?”
“You've gotta be kidding me! The surprise was in the middle of the stage during the end of the encore!” he screamed at her. “Geez, you're so dense!”
“Well excuse you!” she retorted. “I happened to be way smarter than what you give me credit for. During the encore all that happened was your band and that other band singing!” He sighed, “Yup, you're dense...”
“What the hell are you talking about?!” she groaned. He shook his head, “Forget it- just go help bring the drums. Keito's taking forever and I want to get home already!” She told him, “Yea, so do I--” She stopped as she noticed someone behind Yuto. He turned as Aya said, “Kento... what are you doing here?”
“...I was here with my cousin. She's a fan of HSJ.” he said starring at Yuto. “And this must be the infamous brother I've heard about. Surprising how he's a celebrity.” Yuto's eyes glared as he said, “Aya... why the hell does this guy know?!”
“Because you were talking your butt off as I listened in.” Kento answered. “So don't be blaming Aya for this! This is all your fault.” He shrugged, “Alright. So it is. Did you enjoy all the confessions she received today?” Aya gave Yuto a shocked look and whacked him, “Shut up! Kento, when I picked Keito that was just for the game okay? Nothing more.” He nodded, “Yea, I got that...” He turned to Yuto, “I don't care about all the confessions she got because she never accepted any of them. She accepted mine. Which is why she's my girlfriend.” Yuto glared at him, “Oh yea? Would an actual boyfriend keep big secrets from his girlfriend?”
“Everyone has secrets Yuto.” she told him. “So it doesn't matter if he has something he isn't telling me.”
“Even if you might not have like him if you knew that secret?” he questioned as she was taken aback. Kento quickly said, “At least I treat her right!!”
“By hiding things from her?”he raised an eyebrow. “I'm at least honest with her!”
“Okay would you guys just stop?!” Aya growled. “I'm sick of all the yelling! I get enough of that from Yuto and I don't want any from you Kento! I've had a long day and I want to go home and sleep!”
“Fine, then let's go.” Yuto groaned as Kento argued, “Aya, that jerk's just gonna keep ordering you around!” Yuto responded, “Its her job to follow my orders!”
“Not anymore!” he screamed as it caught both Aya and Yuto by surprise. Kento faced Aya, “If its money you need, I'll pay you. You can come live with me too, if you want. I swear you won't be treated like he does to you. You'll be treated as family!”
“...” she thought as Yuto growled. “Like hell she would! She wants to go home, so let the two of us go home already!” He grabbed Aya's wrist and opened the car door. “Come on Aya!”
“Aya!” Kento called as she was pushed into the car and the door was slammed shut.
“Hey, here's your--” Keito had returned as Yuto grabbed half of them, put them in his trunk, and said, “Put it here.” Keito did as he took notice of Kento, angrily staring at Yuto. He said, “So, what'd I miss?”
“Nothing alright?!” Yuto shouted as he said, “Geez I was just asking-”
“See, you treat everyone badly don't you?!” Kento groaned. “Just what is your problem?!”
“Well right now it's you.” he growled. “Just buzz off! I'm tired.” He got into his car as Kento yelled, “Hey! Wait--” He quickly drove off as Keito sighed, “Well... that's enough for one night...” He turned to Kento, “You should head home now.” He left leaving Kento there, full of anger.
“Urgh... that punk was sooo annoying!” Yuto growled as they entered a ramen stand. He began eating as Aya said, “I thought we were going home?”
“Well I got so pissed I got hungry!” he said. She sighed as he furiously ate his food as he took notice of her. “Well, aren't you gonna eat?!” She gave a small smile, “Weird... you'd usually yell at me to make you food when you're upset... now you're treating me?” He glared, “Do you wanna eat or not?” She took a seat next to him as the chef gave her a bowl. “Thanks...” She began eating as the two sat in silence.
“Would you have gone?” Yuto then asked, after they finished eating. She questioned, “Gone where?”
“With your boyfriend...” he wondered. “His offer?” She thought, “...As much as I want to say yes... I'm not exactly sure...” He thought, “You were having second thoughts? I don't get you...” She shrugged, “Neither do I... I thought for sure I would've jumped right into his arms when he said that, freeing me of my slaved life with you. No offense...”
“Geez, some taken..” he said he paid the bill and they walked back to the car. “So you wanted to take his offer, but.. what was stopping you?” She shrugged, “I dunno... I guess its just the feeling... I grew up and live in your house for years... suddenly leaving it...”
“You'd miss it?”
“I guess yea... even if I had lots of horrible memories because of you.” she said.
“You must've had some good memories there...”
“I guess a few...” she sighed. “Anyways, can we hurry home... I feel like I'm gonna knock out any second now...” He nodded as they got in and headed off.
“... *yawn*...Wha-” Aya awoke the next morning in surprise. She was still in Yuto's car, snuggling in Yuto's jacket now on her. She turned to see Yuto asleep next to her as she sighed, “Hey, wake up.” She slightly shook him as he groaned, “5 more minutes...” She laughed as she began tickling him.
“Haha! Ow!” He shot up laughing as he hit his head on the car roof. Aya bursted into giggles as he rubbed his head, “Geez, what the hell was that for?!” She smiled, “Just trying to wake you up... Why didn't you wake me up when we got home?” He shrugged, “I dunno. I guess I was too tired to... which is probably why I didn't leave you in here...”
“What?! You would've left me?!” she said whacking him. “You are a jerk!”
“A hungry one.” he said as he got outta the car and stretched out. She did the same as she smiled, “Haha, you must've been squished in there... how could you sleep in such a small car when you're freakishly tall?”
“Like I said, I was really tired.” he told her. “Get started on breakfast will ya?”
“Fine. What are you craving?” she wondered, handing him his jacket.
“Anything's fine. Just make a lot.” he said as she nodded entering the house. Yuto watched and sighed, “How long you gonna hide there...” He turned to the gate of his house as Kento came out of hiding. “So you're a stalker now?”
“I happen to be Aya's boyfriend. If I chose to surprise her at her place, it doesn't mean I'm a stalker.” he explained as Yuto shrugged, “Sure... that's your definition of it...” The two stood in silence, exchanging glares.
“Yum~” Aya heard as she smiled, “Good morning, Raiya. Ready for breakfast?” He nodded excited as she questioned, “Where's mom and dad?”
“Still in bed.” he responded. She then said, “Alright. I'll bring the food to them right now. Can you call Yuto in? I don't know what he's still doing out there...” Raiya nodded as she went prepared a tray of food. He went out and called, “Yuto-nii--- Kento-nii? What are you doing here?”
“Raiya, go back inside.” Yuto told him. “I'll be there in a minute.” He nodded as Aya returned to the kitchen saying, “They have to get to work early today and are working late, so it'll be just you, me, and Yuto today. Let's go out and have some fun okay?” He nodded, “Yea! That sounds great! Ah, but Aya-nee...”
“What is it? And where's Yuto...” She said going to the door as it opened and Yuto stood in front of her. “Hey, what's keeping you--” He quickly pushed her in closing the door, “Nothing alright... I'm hungry...”
“Well you took to long so the food's not as warm as before...” she told him.
“So...” he said sitting doing eating right away. She gave him a look, “You hate cold food... what's with you this morning... You're actually... not ordering me around as much.”
“Do you want me to?” he asked with a glare.
“Not really, it's just surprising.” she said as she and Raiya joined him. “... Did Kento get to you...”
“What?” Yuto wondered.
“... About always ordering me around and treating me badly...” she asked as he sighed, “As if I'd let a pest like that get under my skin. He's just so annoying...” She was silent as he then said, “Aya, don't let him come here anymore...”
“What? Why?” she questioned. “It's not like any of my other friends are ever allowed here.”
“Go ahead and invite your girl friends... as long as they don't see me, they won't be as annoying as he is to me.” he told her as she sighed, “But Yuto--”
“No buts! I don't wanna see his annoying face anymore!” he groaned as she pouted, “You realize you both go to the same school right?” He gave her a look, “Do you want me to give you a hard day?!” She smiled, “No, no. I'm liking this easy day... So I was telling Raiya that since mom and dad will be working overtime today, we should go out. It's a nice day so being outside would be fun right?”
“Except for that fact that I'm a celebrity and I attract attention.” Yuto told her.
“Then wear a disguise?” she suggested as he said, “I don't wanna wear a disguise!”
“Alright then. I guess its just me and Raiya going out.” she stated as he gave in, “Fine... I'll wear a stupid disguise...”
“Awesome. Then let's all get ready after breakfast and then we can go.” she said as they nodded.
“Hey! Let's ride that!” Raiya said as Aya and Yuto followed right behind him. Aya smiled, “What a lucky day... the fair's in town.” He nodded as she giggled a bit, “Aren't you hot in that thing?” His thick black jacket, making him look a little chubby, was completely covering his upper body. He wore a dark hat as well with sunglasses. He nodded, “No duh... but I really don't wanna get chased by fan girls.”
“That would be a bummer on a day as nice as this...” she smiled. He nodded as Raiya yelled, “Yuto-nii! Aya-nee! Come on!” He stood in line for the ferris wheel as they hurried over.
“What a view!” Aya said starring through the window. “Yuto! Don't just sit there! Take a look!” He groaned standing up next to her and Raiya. The trio stared out on the vast canvas of green trees and blue skies. God's bright flashlight was high in the clouds and shined down on them. He sighed, “It is a nice view...” Aya pouted, “You don't sound very convinced. Are you okay?”
“I'm fine...” he told her as she took a seat next to him. “You sure?” He nodded as she sighed, “Don't you realize I know you by now? I can tell how you're really feeling you know?” He gave her a look, “Geez, I hate how you know me...” She giggled a bit, “So are you gonna tell me what's really on your mind?” He thought as she sighed, “What? You don't trust me?”
“Of course I do...” he told her with a scoff. “Do you think I'd let you be my assistant and maid if I didn't... No way in hell...”
“Awww, so I just have to lose your trust to get outta both jobs... hmmm...” she began to think as he laughed, “As if I'd make quitting that easy for you!” Raiya smiled to them, “Haha, I'm glad to see you guys getting along... You've been argue a lot lately...” They nodded in agreement with a smile.
“He's right... it's nice that we're actually getting along.” Aya said as they soon return to the ground. “So what's next?” They walked around playing random games like the ring toss, having snacks, and riding a few roller coasters. The god's light began to dim slowly as Yuto, Aya, and Raiya sat on a bench, facing the sun, in exhaustion.
“The sunset's really beautiful today, don't you think?” she stated as Yuto nodded. Raiya yawned and laid on Aya's lap as she said, “So... you've been pushing off the answer all day... when are you gonna tell me what's on your mind?”
“Nothing ok? Just forget it.” he stated as she sighed, “Yuto, you've been in thought all day. I just wanna know why. Maybe I can help... with whatever it is..” He told her, “I don't wanna talk about it alright...”
“Fine...” she said stroking Raiya's hair. In a tired voice he said, “Yuto-nii, can we go home now? I'm tired.” He nodded, “Yea.” He stood up as Raiya and Aya did, “Let's get home.”
“You really have been different you know?” Aya said as they got home. Raiya went to his room to get ready for bed as Yuto groaned, “I have not. Geez, you're getting so annoying...” She giggled and said, “Well you did give me today off... half of yesterday and half of Friday. Did I do something to deserve kindness from you?”
“When did I say you had today off?”
“We were out having fun all day and didn't make me miserable at all... and we bought dinner so I won't need to cook.” she pointed out as he gave no response. She gave him a look, “Yuto... are you still sick? Is that why you've been in though a lot?”
“I dunno... I'm probably just tired.” he said as he stretched exhausted.
“Oh, well go to bed then. Let me know if you need anything...” she told him as he nodded, going towards his room. She headed into hers and began working on homework.
“Crap!” Aya screamed rushing outta bed. “I'm gonna be late!” She quickly got dressed made lunch for everyone and grabbed an apple. “Hey! Your bentos on the table! I'm leaving--”
“Hold up.” she heard as Yuto emerged from his room. She groaned, “What? I'm really running late! I need to go now or I won't make it to class--”
“Calm down... geez. I was just gonna offer you a ride.” he said grabbing his lunch and getting his shoes on. “But if you don't want a ride--”
“Seriously what's gotten into you?” she wondered suspiciously. “You are never this nice...”
“Okay, I guess you're walking--”
“No, no, no!” she pleaded. “Please drive me!” He nodded, “Then hurry up and get in the car. I'm dropping you off a block around the school though, okay?” She nodded and they both got in his car and headed off.
“Ah!' she lit up as Yuto turned a corner. He wondered, “What?”
“It's Keito! He's rubbed off on you! That's why you're so different!” she smiled. He groaned, “Okay, that's it. Out!” He stopped the car as she said, “What?! But all I said-”
“Exactly! It's getting annoying...” he said. “The school's just a couple blocks down anyways, you'll make it if you run.”
“Geez, at least you're back to normal.” she pouted getting out and rushing off.
“Made it!” she screamed triumphantly as she entered the class.
“Congratulations...” she heard as Shizu smiled. “What a nice start of the day... I see my best friend without her annoying boyfriend.”
“Ah--”
“Yea, Aya. Where is Kento?” one of his friends asked. “Rare to see you without him.”
“Well, my brother dropped me off this morning so I didn't see him this morn--”
“Everyone take your seats.” the teacher said walking in.
“Wait! I'm here!!” Kento yelled running in. He took his seat as Aya whispered in an apologetic tone, “Kento I'm sooo sorry I didn't meet up with you this morning! You see I overslept and--”
“It's okay. It's.. 'him' again right?” he responded. “Aya, my offer's still here. If you wanna be free of him you can always come to me.”
“I know, I'm really thinking about it.... and thanks Kento. For the offer.” she stated as he nodded, “No need to thank me. I just wanna help my girlfriend---”
“Kento! Aya!” the sensei called as they turned forward and stopped talking.
“What?!No way! That's so not cool!” Kento complained as they had lunch. “I'm your boyfriend I should be able to visit your place when ever!” She sighed, “Please Kento. You've really gotten on his bad side and that is not a good thing. Seriously.... just please. We can still hang out at school and go on dates, but you can't come to my place anymore. I'm sorry.” He groaned, “Aya, you don't need to follow that guy's orders! So what if I annoy him? He needs to man up about it. I'm your boyfriend so I'll be there for you, no matter where you are!”
“That's sweet Kento, but not at my place. Please?” she pleaded.
“Urgh... Fine. But only because you asked.” he told her as she smiled. “Thanks...”
“Yea... now can I please have some of your bento?” he asked staring at it. “I'm starving..” She laughed and passed it to him. “So, how about we go out tonight then? Since I can't show up at your place anymore, we need to go out more often.”
“I'll try. Tonight sounds fine. Where to?”
“How about some dinner?” he smiled. “A fancy candlelight dinner seem romantic enough for the hopeless romantic?” She nodded excited, “It's sounds wonderful! I'm excited now!” He laughed at her and said, “Well, the usual meeting spot say 6ish?” She nodded, “It's a date.”
“NOOOO!” Shizu whined. “NOT AGAIN AYA!!! I'M YOUR BEST FRIEND SO YOU HAVE TO COME WITH ME! YOU CAN'T SERIOUSLY BE WITH KENTO MORE THAN ME!!!” She sighed, “I'm sorry Shizu. But I promise tomorrow we can go shopping, alright? I won't make any plans with Kento. Just us girls.”
“Yes!” she cheered. “You swear?!” She nodded as Shizu smiled triumphantly. “We are shopping all day long!” She smiled, “Alright, alright.” They walked outta class and outta the school building as Kento called, “Aya~, ditch the freak and let's go!”
“I thought you were gonna be nice to her Kento?” Aya gave him a look as he laughed, “Ah, come on. You can't expect that all the time.” She rolled her eyes as Shizu glared, “See?! It's not always me, Aya! And who are you calling a freak?! Have you looked in a mirror?! Oh, wait... they all break before you even get a chance to look.”
“Haha, good one..” he said sarcastically.
“
Well, we're gonna take off.” Aya said. “See ya tomorrow Shizu.” She waved as the couple walked off.
“NO!” Yuto yelled as Aya said, “I can't cancel on him--”
“You had better cancel-”
“The only way he'll cancel is if he can continue to come to the house. If I don't show up tonight, he's coming here.” she explained as she washed some vegetables. She began dicing them as he stated, “Then let him come. I'll call the police--”
“Yuto!” she said stopping. “Don't!”
“...fine...” he groaned. “But you can't go out tonight.”
“Then what can I do?!” she questioned. “Kento can't come here, I can't go out to Kento. The only time we can hang out is at school and most of the time you're pulling me out! How are we suppose to improve our relationship?!”
“... you don't?” he stated. “Seriously, he's not great or anything. Why bother?”
“Well, I have been waiting for 3 years for us to finally get together. No way am I gonna let this relationship fall apart.” she told him.
“Come on. He's not worth it.” he said.
“Why does everyone say that?! How do you know if a person's worth it?” she wondered. “You don't even know Kento! So how would you know he's worth it?”
“Do you even know him?”
“Of course I do!”
“Really?” he said with a raised eyebrow. “I didn't think couples hide secrets.”
“We're still in progress right now alright?” she told him. “I may not know everything about him, but I do know him.” He shrugged, “I beg to differ. But whatever... if that's what you think, then alright. You know him.”
“What's with that annoying sarcasm?!” she asked annoyed.
“I'm just not convinced.” he said, closing his textbook.
“Whatever... as if I care what you think...” she groaned and continued to cut. He scoffed, “if you didn't care you wouldn't have asked... admit it, you want me to believe that you know him... You're doubting the trust he has in you, aren't you?”
“Now why would I doubt that? I trust him. He trust me. That's the way successful relationships work.” she explained as he laughed, “Ha, maybe in a fairytale. Get your head outta the books and back here. This is reality, Aya. Not some storybook.”
“I know that ok?!” she screamed. “But we're completely trusting with each other! I don't need to prove that to you!”
“You wouldn't be arguing with me about it if you didn't want to...” he smirked. She ignored him and angrily tossed veggies into the pot. “...You really are questioning yourself now aren't you?”
“Yuto, just leave me alone! What happened to the nice you?!”
“I was sick..” he smiled. “I feel much better now.” She groaned, “Well whatever, but I'm still going out tonight--”
“No you're not. You're my maid and I need you tonight.” he told her as she growled, “Even maids need days off!”
“Well not tonight.” he said.
“Well why not?!”
“Because I said so. That's why. You're my maid, you do what I say.” he responded. “Is dinner ready yet?!” She replied, “It just started cooking, alright? Look, Yuto. I do a lot for you and you don't appreciate it at all! The least you can do is let me have some fun every now and then. Like going out with my boyfriend!”
“I do let you, just not tonight!”
“You've got to give me a good reason of why I can't go out tonight, then!”
“Yea, I need you here to clean and cook.” he explained as she growled, “Urgh! That's it! I've had it with you Yuto! You're seriously pissing me off right now!”
“So--”
“So maybe I quit!” she screamed as he was taken aback. She tore the apron off her, throwing it down on the floor and stormed into her room. She threw a bunch of her things into a bag and stormed out. “Have fun doing everything on your own, Yuto!”
