Welcome to Hey! Say! JUMP Fic Challenge!
The idea behind this community, is simply for us to have fun writing fics! Every few days a random fic challenge will be posted into the community, and members will have the option to opt into the challenge. Depending on what type of fic challenge it is, a shuffle of willing participants will be selected to write the story!
Membership is required if you want to play the game, as all posts regarding challenges will be restricted to members only, voting and completed stories from challenges will be open to the public. After all, if you worked hard for your story, dont you want someone to read it?!
The typical size of each challenge will be about 3~5 participants (chosen at random out of those who want to play) depending on the type of challenge
The Challenges!
The Chain Fic Challenge!
In this challenge, members will be given a topic/pairing/item/word and will be challenged to write a story in conjunction with the others who have opted into the challenge. The idea here is that as you go through the story, you will have different writers all working together to weave a coherent story. In order to assure everyone gets a chance, the challenge may be given a word limit, and participants are expected to respect the limit. When you finish your part, it's time to turn it over to the next person to write. The challenge is complete when the last person wraps up the story!
The Blind Writing Fic Challenge!
In this challenge, one member will be given a word/item and will write a story about it, WITHOUT expressly stating the word. Within a week of the story's completion and posting, members in the community will have to guess the word/item the story was based around. The game ends when the word/item is found or when it has been a week after posting!
The Description Fic Challenge!
Feeling artistic? Have the most beautiful place in mind? In this challenge, participants will be given free reign of their own short story. Within this fic, competitors are expected to bring to life the details of their story with vivid description and beautifully woven dialog. Moderators will compile the stories and post into a single entry. Members will be allowed to vote for their favorite fic they feel best paints a clear image and flows clearly. Due to the size of this challenge, a maximum of three participants will be chosen.
The Shuffled Word Fic Challenge!
In this challenge, participants will be given a random combination of words and are expected to weave a story that incorporates all words as integral parts of the plot. Members will vote and within 1 week of posting, a winner will be chosen based on the community's votes!
The Love Battle Fic Challenge!
This challenge is specifically for pairings. In this challenge, Members will be given a central character, and we will randomly select two members from JUMP. One participant will write one part representing one boy, and another participant will write another part representing the other boy. Your goal here is to have voting members choose your boy for the central character to fall in love with! Get ready those "Kyun!" and "Kya!" Moments and win them over to your side!
The Complete-The-Fic Challenge!
Have you ever wondered, what would happen if certain stories went the other way? What if that story had a happy ending instead? What if it had a sad ending? Well now's your chance to gain some closure! In this challenge, one fic will be selected at random and posted (with the author's permission of course) Mods will cut the story at some point and leave the rest to the participants. Best voted will win!
The Personified Song Fic Challenge!
Knowing some of the wonderful songs that our JUMP boys have sung, in this challenge, participants will be given one JUMP song, and they have to write a story that will best bring that story to life. For help regarding the songs, translations can be found all over the place and some may be readily accessed in the hey_say community! (For instance, for Dash!! - Daiki may make a comment about a bird with an injured folded wing. As one of the lyric's lines is literally, "cant fly with folded wings" but these lyrics are entirely for you to bring to life in any creative interpretation! You dont have to follow my literal example!)

Mods will be in charge of receiving your fics! If your challenge requires multiple participants, we will pass them on so we know where we're at! Lastly, Mods will post completed fics as well as create voting polls to decide the winner!
