How great is One Piece chapter 360?
Sanji spazzing out over Nami = awesome. First and foremost because he is so funny when he freaks, and secondly because even though Oda usually milks these situations for the humor factor, my Nami/Sanji Fangirl Sense can still tingle and it is tingling, dammit! My Zoro/Robin Fangirl Sense, however, has been sadly quiet as of late.
Chopper's Seriously Upset face = the cutest thing in the world. Look at him:
This is beat out only by the
Super Happy Shiny Face OMGWTFUUUUUCK Face Double Whammy of chapter 446. In fact, this whole arc has been a veritable breeding-ground for fantastic facefaults.
Thriller Bark Villain Team = the best overall villain team of the series, FOR SERIOUS. Like, Oda had the right idea with Buggy and Foxy, but they were kind of annoying and their henchmen were not interesting enough to help carry the heavy burden of Slapstick Comedy Villainhood. Crocodile was boring, but surrounded himself with cool underlings. Kuro needed therapy. Enel was oh, I don't know, fucking insane, and if the Strawhats and High Priest Gedatsu weren't so hilarious I would swear off that arc altogether. Spandam needs to be removed from the gene pool immediately. And Rob Lucci - well, to put it politely, he bores the shit out of me. Where does he think he is, in a Square Enix game?
My usual attitude toward fictional villains is pretty straightfoward: if the canon tells me they're evil, I don't tend to waste my sympathy on them. So I am surprising myself by this sudden burst of friendly feeling toward Hogback, Perona, Cindry, and Moria. They pose a serious threat but cannot seem to command serious respect. And honestly I crack up every time Perona unleashes her ghosts on Team Luffy, or Cindry fantasizes about Hogback's death.
Nami's Wedding Rescue Team = potential for awesomepants chaos? I mean, you've got Luffy and Chopper, two-thirds of the Idiot Trio, and Robin, the only sane person on the crew but who lets Luffy do whatever for her own amusement. The combo also gives Nami more opportunity to spring back and join in the fun - more so than, say, if Zoro were there.
Hahaha, I love Thriller Bark.
