Well, I thought I should update since I really enjoy reading updates from all you people. I really appreciate those friends who update, by the way. You guys are awesome!
It is midnight. I am sitting in my bed, procrastinating work. I feel okay about this because I did a couple hours of great work already tonight and I have extra hours to work tomorrow. Today in class, we had one of those scary discussions, where we (the grad students) were reminded that we will not get jobs if we don't publish. I didn't freak out too much because I am working on an article now (based on my IS research--go Wooster). But it is still a little insane to think about how competitive academia is.
This semester I have been working at a tutoring center. I like it a lot because I often have no one to tutor (so I get paid to do my own work). Today I learned that I only have 22 more hours of work to go this semester; since I am on work study, there is a set amount that I can earn each semester. It will be great to have 10 extra hours each week at the end of the semester.
For Christmas Break, Brian and I plan on heading to Ohio and Michigan. We will of course be taking the ferrets (there are 3 of them now). I really love our ferrets. They each have unique personalities and mannerisms. Tang has become addicted to chicken lately, which is good because it is a great food for her and she is underweight. It is quite funny to see her leave the cage, go stand by the fridge, and look intently at the door, willing it to open. She has the system totally figured out. Bear is happy that we got Brussels over the summer because now he has someone to rough house with. They both enjoy chasing each other around the house, jumping on each other, and wrestling. Bear's coat has turned more white for winter, which is very very pretty.
Well, I think I will add some more 'secondary products' citations to my EndNote library now. I love EndNote a lot.
