Thank you! Earlier yesterday I was about to chuck it into the back of the cupboard, but then I decided to just experiment some more with darker colors.
I do love your use of colours in the painting, just gorgeous :) And ooh that's The Knave!! I loved that drawing and I'm so pleased to see you reinterpreting it, it's so cool!!
I'm trying to be much more loose and going with the flow when I'm painting, and it's fun to see the difference between the first drawing and now this. I like them both, but they are indeed very different from one another.
The Knave was a favourite of mine; fascinating to see him reinterpreted and what a difference watercolour and more muted colours makes. Love that he seems to be holding a stained card as well this time.
Nice sketch too. There's some muscles in those arms! :)
It is fun to see how much my techniques (and confidence!) have grown in terms of being more willing to experiment with colours and form. Maybe he can be a recurring theme? ;)
I was sketching while at a course... I can pretend it makes me pay better attention to what the teacher is saying right?
Time very well spent. Yow. And boy do I ever recognize that picture!! :D
I'm sorry you forgot to document, and I hope you might do it again in the future. To absolutely hopeless art types like me, it's an eternal mystery how such magic happens. And yes, I guess I could look up a time-lapse video on Youtube whenever I want, but it's not that high a priority, and I'd rather see it from a friend's work anyway. ;)
Thank you!! :D I still reread that story you wrote sometimes!
Yeah me too - it's fun for me as well because I'm not a very meticulous planner and accidents happen that I have to incorporate, so it's all very organic. I did remember on another painting you might recognise as well. ;)
Also I spend way too much time on youtube watching timelapse videos of artworks....
