These are great!
You've done a wonderful job with the perspective and showing the textures---it has such a great balance between the angular scene at the top of the picture and the softness of the scene at the bottom.
The second picture is likewise very well composed and your background looks awesome. Love the details that you've added---the flowers, the reflections, the emphasis given with the ink.

I'll have to check out the hp_art_tales---I'd love to play but not sure I can commit to the time... :(

Thank you so much for looking and for leaving such a detailed comment! Since I started including backgrounds in my paintings, composition has obviously become very important, so it means a lot that you think it works. :) And textures are so much fun to play with when doing watercolours! I also love doing the little extra details, so I'm glad you liked them too. :D

As for hp_art_tales, there is no requirement that you take a prompt even if you submit them. It's very relaxed (which means there is also no guarantee that anyone will do anything for the prompts you leave. ;))

I'd love to participate---the only HP art I have at the moment are the two pieces I did for fandomfusion---the firelit profiles of Dumbledore and Harry. Can I post those? I haven't really done scenes...

There is a lot of ambience in those two portraits! They don't need scenes to make you wonder what has come before or after. If you'd like to participate with prompts, I think they would make wonderful inspiration!
