So I got everything pinned together this morning, and this afternoon I've started sewing all three layers together. That was, of course, after I sat down and measured the boning channels and cut the bones for it. I like cutting my own bone lengths because I can change the length if I made a mistake with the length of the channel. Which I've done several times. But I do hate the actual cutting and then wrapping the ends. BTW, I have discovered the waterproof first aid tape works great for the ends of spiral steel, but won't stick to flat steel. Duck tape with stick to flat steel.
I have the top seam all done. Then I'm going to slowly do the bottom seam. Then I'm going to get out my zipper foot and figure out how to use it to go along the front ends, along the flat steel bone that is the support for the lacing. This should be fun.
So far it's looking really good. All my easements turned out with out a pucker at all! I am very happy about that! I think that's the first time I've done them without anything puckering!
Now we'll see if I can get more done before this storm makes the power go out.
