Logan wasn’t the romantic type. He also wasn’t the type to doubt himself. So when he did find himself doing something romantic, he generally figured that if it worked it worked, and if it didn’t-well, fuck.
He knew it was Allison’s birthday coming up, and while they seemed to going through her list quite well, and even enjoying some talking and sleeping in between, he wanted to do something for her. Something that was more than just a roll in a sack-or on a table, or in the shower, or on his bike…-something that maybe let her know he cared.
It took him about a week to come up with the actual gift. Took him about an hour to get it organised. The only thing left was to get Allison to take time off without raising her suspicions too much. They’d need a couple days together, if only because he was also kind of desperate to see her. The week he’d taken to think of her gift was a week they hadn’t seen each other between her hours in the E.R. and his missions for the X-Men. Could he really be blamed if he wanted to have a little time with his gir-with her?
Logan packed the last of his supplies: extra cigars, condoms, and a clean t-shirt; and zipped up the small bag and threw it over his shoulder. He headed out of the mansion without word, or explanation, and mounted his bike to take the drive to Princeton. If he was going to convince her to take the time off, he might as well do it in person. If nothing else, he could maybe just throw her over his shoulder and take her anyway.
