After finishing an intense near-death weekend working 4 shifts in 3 days at horrible horrible work, I spent a miniscule ammount of quality time with friends, took in a movie, and promptly went to sleep. Then, almost as if my lower subconscious was mocking me, the random synapses in my brain decided to fire off in ways that would give me dreams of work. It sucks to work 30 hours out of 48, then go home and work a couple hours more while sleeping.
There are two kinds of dreams I really hate. School dreams, and work dreams. Since going to college, the school dreams have pretty much disappeard. Probably because school is often fun and/or rewarding, and is a lot less like the routine drudgery of highschool. Unfortunately, the school dreams have just been replaced by work dreams, which are twice as grating. I thought the customers were bad in real life, but they're so much worse in dreams. Everything is worse. I need to learn to dream lucidly, so that when I have a work dream I can change it or wake myself up.
