--Long time no write--

I feel like it has been forever since I last wrote. Finally I feel I have something worthy of ya'lls time but, maybe not?

Spring break was awesome! I love Storm Lake. Although I never want to live there permanently again...I still love it. The night we got home (Friday) everyone went to Malarky's, which is a dance bar. It was extremely fun! 5 of us girls drank at Jessicas before hand. It was a good get together. We played power hour...which only lasted 45 minutes because we ran out of beer. That goes to show you we didn't have very much stuff. Oh well, I was feeling pretty good. Apparently I told Jessica I would go out with her and Ashley the first Thursday we got back to Iowa City, we'll see if I do that.

After spending a couple quality days with my friends, the fam and I left for Florida. The way getting there was kind of stressful; beings that we had just gotten 17 inches of snow and flights were delayed like no other...needless to say we eventually got to the sunshine state (is that floridas nickname? if it isn't...it should be) We stayed at St. Pete Beach. Very spring break friendly place. The first day down there we went to Fort Desoto. In the middle of all the military canons and whatnot there was a model shoot going at the beach. The words of my little brother..."Every mans fantasy." I don't know who they were...or where they came from...but it was pretty interesting. All the models were brunettes, I thought they needed a blonde and didn't see why they weren't calling my over? That shall remain a mystery.

Later that day we went in a giant speed boat to go find dolphins in the gulf. It was neat. During that trip they pointed out one of Mel Gibsons houses. Also we saw lots of Sea Gulls diving for fish. Before the trip I had a really good impression of Sea Gulls from Finding Nemo and now I love them even more. If you get the chance to watch them "hunt" for food...do it. Both added bonuses.

The next day we went to Busch Gardens. My little brother thought he was sick the entire day. Grrrr... It was still loads of fun. I absolutely love zoos and it seems like Busch Gardens was a zoo/amusment park. They also had a place called The Hospitality House where they gave out 2 free beers for anyone of the legal age. My parents don't drink so they didn't take advantage of that. It's hard to give up something that is free. Seems like such a waste.

Saturday we lounged around by the beach. Ahhh...St. Pete Beach is my new happy place. At night we went to The Pier. It's just a big long Pier (could you've guessed that?) with restuarants at the end of it. When we were walking back to our car an old lady passing by us said "Damn spring breakers." Now come on! If you're going to live in a major vacation zone you gotta expect to see spring breakers. If you're going to live in what people from Iowa might consider paradise then you shouldn't mind a little extra traffic on Saturdays. Damn old ladys.

I hope I don't become an old lady.
