How to start this...
It has been one of those weekends where nothing goes the way it was supposed too. Billie and Lindsey came here on Friday and all of us were supposed to celebrate Ashley's birthday together. We had this genius plan to drink a few beers in Ashley and Jessica's room before we headed out for the night...well it turned out to be not so genius. It all started with just 5 of us having a nice and quiet time drinking a case here at Burge. But, never fear, since Billie and Lindsey were in town 8 guys from our hometown decided that they were randomly going to come to Iowa City and party with us. That makes it a total of 13 people drinking plus 1 (Paige)who wasn't drinking. So, fourteen people are cramped into a little dorm room being noisy and walking in and out. It was inevitable that we were going to get caught. Sure enough, right after I decide to go and change the hall cooridinator went to Jessica's room and, this is a direct quote from her, "BUSTED" them. Needless to say the party was over. That was a major buzz kill so we decided not to go out. I felt bad for Lindsey and Billie because we had anticipated this awesome time...and it turned out to be a BUST. Oh well. On Friday night it was a big deal, but everyone got over it pretty quickly. We were all pretty pissed at the guys for coming down here, leaving right away and not saying sorry or anything. They have done so many things to us and just expect to be our friends again like they didn't do anything. I would like to say this time they have stepped on too many toes, but I know that I will go right back to being their friends again. Why do I always do that?
Yesterday wasn't that bad. We went out to eat and went to the mall. A girl can't go wrong with a day filled full of shopping and eating. The only downer to the day was Paige going to the Mercy Hospital ER in the morning. She woke up with no voice and a rash on her chest and at this point Lindsey, who is from UNI, had her convinced that she had meningitis. Hakun amatata, it wasn't meningitis. In fact, they told her to take Tylenol and Excedrin.
Overall the weekend didn't go exactly to schedule. But it wasn't a total waste. I got to see my 3 best friends whom I love and will alway cherish! :)
