I had a quiet weekend. Some of it went into Duolingo. A bit went into some other German-learning work. Inevitably, quite a bit of it went into radio, at least on Sunday. Most of the rest of it went into seeing whether there was mileage in exporting my LJ (or at least the public bits of it) to a WordPress blog. At present, the answer seems to be "Probably not".
I was up relatively early (for me) on Sunday, and found time to catch a special French SOTA call (using Morse) before the usual Sunday morning club top-band Net at 9:30. I did a bit more SOTA-guided Morse listening during the day, and caught one other activator late in the afternoon. I've been looking at the garden and thinking that it needs quite a bit of work done in it soon, but I've not yet found the energy and enthusiasm to get out and do anything about it, though the weather has been just about right for it...
Today was also a slow day, partly because I woke up very early, and then eventually went back to sleep very shortly before I would normally wake up. That meant I slept through most of the normal morning alarms, and only really woke up when the loud radio turned itself on to Radio 4 at 9am. I had to go to Petts Wood this afternoon, so spent a while on Ingress-led wandering while I was about it.
This evening I caught the Morse practice broadcast from Tollesbury in Essex. It was coming through slightly better than last week, so I actually managed to copy quite a lot of it. I've spent much of the rest of the evening tinkering with the radio club's newsletter, which needs to go out before the end of the week.
