The conkers are falling, and the leaves will soon follow. There's plenty of tidying-up to be done in the garden. While some has been done, I've been otherwise busy...
FilkContinental took up the first weekend in October. I spent the week after it in Germany. Then I had my house full for ten days, though we did get a couple of hours of tidying up in the garden done. Since then I've been looking at the work needed, but not feeling sufficiently motivated to get out and do it. Maybe next week.
In other news, I've managed to catch the last two weekly Morse practice broadcasts, and didn't do too badly, considering my lack of practice. I've also not managed to get quite enough Duolingo practice done. That makes two more things I need to spend more time on.
Today's nMC practice went well, and we rehearsed about half of our planned set. The travel involved, however, was a bit tedious. I needed to get my niece to Waterloo Station to catch a train at 12:15, but the usual route in was closed for engineering works, so it took us four trains (two Southeastern trains, and two Underground ones) and at least an hour to get there. It only took me another couple of Underground trains to get from there to Gants Hill. On the way home, however, I mistakenly got out at Liverpool Street, only to find my planned route scuppered by yet more engineering, so I had to go back down and continue in the same direction to another station before changing line, and it ended up taking me five trains (three Underground, one Thameslink and one Southeastern) to get home. I got home at about 20:15...
