Out with the old, in with the cold...
It's turning cold, but it stayed dry, so I heaved all the garden waste I've been accumulating over the last few months into the back of my car. I then added some bonus material that's been rotting under the hedge for ages, and took the whole lot to the dump. Afterwards I helped a friend transport a bath from the garage in which she's been storing it to her house, where workmen have been busily ripping out her bathroom suite and knocking down the walled shower cubicle.
This evening inertia (and the cold weather) won. I didn't go either to the local astronomical society's observing (in the pub, 'cos it's cloudy) evening, or to the local amateur radio society's monthly meeting. Instead, I stoked the fire, ans tried to stay warm. It's definitely turning cold, though. By sunset frost was already forming on the lawn, and the parts of it that never saw the sun today never lost last night's frost.
