I just got off the horn with the Old Man on the Mountain... he's feeling up both physically and mentally after a weekend with his eldest son up on the hill. It's always good to hear from him, and makes me hopeful that he will deign stay with us for a while.
My own weekend was pretty OK, too. Saturday I got a chance to see the new house
zeroband
just closed on, and got Tom-Sawyer-ed into mowing the front lawn.
Then Sunday we ran one of the most messed-up rallys I have ever seen, and got ourselves equally messed up which was a pain. The capper for the day was when the instructions for the final transit zone had a "Left" where they meant "Right"... which was exquisitely appropriate, given the tone of the rest of the day. I wonder how many contestants were unable to find the endpoint? Not my problem, thanks.
Nonetheless, we had a day together and a pretty day for bounding through the pretty scenery so it wasn't a complete loss, and I for one enjoyed the day overall.
