We just got back from seeing Up. It was so great! 10 minutes before the end, the movie abruptly stopped. It was weird, like waking up from a dream. They got it back on about 15 minutes later, but we got free tickets for next time. The movie made me cry a few times, because it's such a classic love story. They're so absolutely crazy about each other, and it really hit home for me. Reminded me of what I have, and how lucky I am to have it.
Speaking of Christopher, he bought a PSP today which he's playing right now. It's great, you can even watch movies on it! I never bought into video games and all that, so this is pretty exciting. He's getting pretty excited for the Fiddler's Run in September. We're going up with my Uncle Donald, who's also running. I'm doing a 10k, Christopher's doing a half-marathon (21k), and Uncle Donald hasn't decided which race he's running. I'm really getting into running now, and it's great having Christopher to support me. We're planning a 10k run for tomorrow evening. I find it's easier to run with him, because we talk and discuss things and it helps the time (and distance) go by.
Also, Uncle Donald is finding out if I'll be insured to drive his BMW (!!!) to Cape Breton! FUN!!
On a sadder note, my friend Adam's father just passed away from cancer. His funeral is tomorrow afternoon in Parrsboro, and Joe's offered to take me with him. It'll be a hard day, but it's worth it for Adam to know that he has friends to support him and help him through. It's so tough. I can't even imagine what he's going through.
I should go. Early morning and a long drive tomorrow morning. Night, ya'll.
