Been a productive weekend, got a lot of "hanger" projects finished
This is a simple 12 inch mixing bowl made from maple, only it split while turning, so I went down to the metal shop, made a staple from a small piece of scrap and... a period repair.
This is a hollow form (sorta) flower arranger, it's made from some tropical exotic, that was so heavily spaltted that I was getting tear out no matter what cutting technique I tried. So I ended up removing about a 1/16 of an inch using 40 grit sand-paper. I had more issues with the hole, so I filled it with a small piece of Black Walnut, then cut a new hole for the brass flower stand. While I did hollow it out, I left a pillar in the center to support the flower arranger.
A Maple hand bell clapper.
A hook chisel, that I made last summer, with a Zebrawood handle
I was switching a handle around on some files I have and realized, I'm a turner, I can make more handles. So, here are a bunch of file handles made from Black Locus
A splatted Maple platter about 14 inches across. The black strip is not wood, it's a void left by a missing branch, so I filled the void with coffee grounds.
Two small bowls, made from the same piece of wood as the platter. These are about 7 inches across.
