Lots of tiny events occur (and not every day) but on a grand scale, my life does not change. I don't even have midterms or anything like that to punctualize my memories.
Adam and I got pulled over by a policeman a few days ago. (My heart stopped for a second, when I realized the lights were for us.) But despite the terror, everything was ok! The first thing the policeman said: "Hi folks, the light over your tail light is out I'm going to give you a warning this time." (All in one breath.) And only after that did he even bother to ask for Adam's license. We now have a printout, which the nice young policeman said we could show if we got pulled over again for it. However, this printout does not include a date or time frame to get the problem fixed. I'm pretty sure he didn't hand us carte blanche permission to ignore the problem, but for all I can figure that's what we have.
We went to Rocky Horror last night with Sam. We all dressed up! And it was an impressive Rocky Horror. An entire side and a half of the Ham TA knew the audience's script, and they had a wonderfully amusing cast to go with. (Justin Bell as Dr. Frank-n-furter!)
Someone called in yesterday who was definitely on some sort of powerful drug. It took 10 minutes of weird giggling, sentence fragments, speaking to dogs, and complete non-sequiters on her end, and careful promping on mine, to learn that all she wanted was discounts for a rental car.
We have enough Polymer Clay to last us the next year. Sale at Michaels. Whee.
Speaking of, we need a Wii.
Some interesting things I've happened onto:
The Proceedings of the Athanasius Kircher Society : Useless, interesting, and just plain weird inventions. Like Kircher's Cat Piano -- a piano made up of cats (You hit the notes, kitty would get poked and presumably scream.)
Shorpy : A blog of photos from about 100 years ago, give or take a few decades.
