Summary of Question 2 for BSC today: Imagine you are a CEO and someone in mid-level management is "cooking the books." If you tell, you're fired. What do you do? what should you do? Explain.
Summary of what Beth wrote: Resignation is lovely. However, if you couldn't, consider that honesty would give you a great conscience, but would loose jobs and economically hurt customer confidence, etc. Would if all companies that "cooked books" announced their fraud? Particularly, the loss of multiple jobs might result in strikes, inflation, violence, etc. Plus you are a CEO, which means you are well off. Hire a GOOD lawyer and get off like Scrushy.
So, I am now a heartless criminal. They will either love it or hate it.
Crap. I just justified Scrushy's actions. And I don't like him. Not at all.
Here is the TOK "commercial break" for the oral of me and Elizabeth:
Commercial break of bombardment of the aesthete
ANNOUNCER: Are you sick of not being complete to your golden ratio? Are the laws of the universe out of balance by too many theories of relativity? Well, we have the solution for you! Join millions of other individuals in finding peace with their aesthetic side through the “assthetic” jeans! (Filming of people wearing jeans) With these jeans, you can’t go wrong. Everything just makes sense! Taken from the ancient absolute Good of Plato, Copernicus wore them when pronouncing the world was not the center of the solar system! Newton was wearing them when the apple fell on his head and he figured out the force of gravity! And modern-day people like you can own (picture of pair of jeans) the assthetic jeans for two payments of $19.95! Call now and get a free video discussing Kantian ethics.
