So, Randolph-Macon was amazing, ironically. On the way up, I was like "Beth, what are you doing!?!" I was like, I'm gonna hate it. But....I loved it. I sat in on British History yesterday, and they were learning about Disraeli and Glascow; the prof had some random interesting facts, such as in Glascow's free time, he walked five to ten miles a day, wrote five-page papers to most every influencial person in England, and also enjoyed chopping down trees in his free time. (This is when I inserted "The Lumberjack Song" from Monty Python. Indeed, it is necessary.) The night before, we made cookies (from scratch and beaucoups of sugar and chocolate) at like 11:00 p.m. One person found out I "was the one who had run cross-country" and was trying to get me to play soccer. Ha ha ha ha. It was hilarious. I told her I sucked/ never had played before except for two days (which were, I think, the happiest days I've had in a while), and was not coordinated. Her argument was she had never played until this year, and I had no choice. Ha ha. Tennis also tried to recruit me too. Oh the irony. Beth sucks, and she knows it.
The interview though? Heh, funny. I thought I talked too much when I should have shut up and shup up when I should have talked more, but I do that in reality anyway.
But loving it sure did put me into a dilemma. Me and my whole, "I'm gonna go to USNA" has suddenly taken a wild spin. Would if, (I mean IF- I doubt it seriously) I get in and get this scholarship? I highly doubt I will get accepted into the Academy, but would if? I mean, think about it. 1200 students out of 50000 get in. IF I do...I don't know.
Only, RMWC has suddenly looked very, very promising. Blarg.
Megan's party was great, but I had to leave early. *pouts* Of course, my mom called an hour before I actually left telling me I should come home....she is asleep now, but lord knows how much trouble I will be in for that....*doesn't care*
Ironically, I could get like strikes and get all but one bowling when I didn't care about bowling. BUT, when I tried to aim, I got the gutter. I think the best part was Me, Josh, Daniel, and the other dude having a random assembly line for the last five minutes of the two games, rapidly throwing bowling balls down to knock down as many pins as we could in five minutes. It was hilarious. My name on the first game was Beta-Gamma, the second game I was Lucretia Borgia/ Shorty McKaw (something like that)/ Venus Williams, and the third game I was La Tribu de Dana. We had very intertaining names, such as Seymore Butts, The Wizard of Oz, Leroy Brown, George Bush, Large Rabid Squirrel, and Cous Cous Factorial. Yay. *smiles*
Chocolate ice-cream cake is amazing, so is spinach dip and chocolate covered strawberries and chicken fingers and sweet tea. Ahhhh. *gains rapid weight* (like I care...haha)
So, I totally made this icon (pertaining to text only), and I love it.
