I need not describe my current circumstances. The whole of Vertere, it seems is afflicted by this latest whim of The Powers That Be.

A mere doll in their hands, I may be, but my life before being spirited away to this place has taught me that even dolls are not bereft of resources.

I have not lost hope.

D and a gentleman whose name I do not know. The latter is most determined to find you, however, despite the fact that he is uncertain of his own wereabouts. I tried to persuade him to wait until he had at least some idea of where he was.

I am doubtful of my success. He was most agitated.

D tells me that his father, Lord Dracula, is in much the same state. He believes that the vampire may do something rash.

Nnmn. Was this gentleman of a pale complexion and of nervous demeanour? My suspicion is that this fellow is Doctor Jekyll.

The news about Vlad Mister Dracula are dreadful. His reaction shocked me too. I pray to God that there are only vampires in his area, for other creatures would not withstand his wrath.

Miss Hadyee, this may sound hasty but if you haven't chosen lodgings, perhaps we could settle together.

Pale and of a nervous demenour is a superlative description of the gentleman, madame. A doctor, you say? It is good to know that Vertere has medical practitioners.

As for Dracula, D's fears are much the same as yours. He is with his father now, in the hopes of minimizing any damage.
