Voldemort set his crystal wine glass down and glanced lazily around the room. He sighed and flipped his bangs so they were out of his eyes, he knew he should have used a hair spell tonight. Severus sometimes thought it was a miracle that they even managed to piss by themselves. Seeing Bellatrix amongst them though -- that gave him a moments pause. While crazy, and he certainly believed her that way, she wasn't stupid. Perhaps a bit short sighted when it came to the Dark Lord, but that was neither here nor there with him. She shot some wild looks at those around them, as if to scare them away. She turned back facing him, and laughed a bit. "Lucius is right. Wouldn't want you turning to dust now would we?" she said in her outlandish manner.
An eyebrow raised at his last comment, and she tilted her head. "So then, if you're conversing with me, then I must certainly be worthy, in your mind," she concluded. That's the way her logic worked, anyhow. Sure, she may not completely trust Severus, or like him very much, but the Dark Lord sure thought highly of him, and so she made a point to stay on friendly terms.
