Writing play
From a podcast called the Burnt Notebook, the presenter gave a writing starter for poetry play: it's called 'N + 7'.
What you do is pick words in a written passage--similar to the way Mad-Libs works. Then you look at the word in a dictionary. Count 7 words down and substitute the new word for the starting word. That creates a disorder of expectations!
