Apologies for low activity; it's been a busy couple of days. I know some folks still have drabbles outstanding -- I'll try to finish that off tomorrow.
Today was busy, but productive. I am now a certified range safety officer, or will be when the NRA processes my paperwork. It's the first step for me in getting a bunch of instructor qualifications. I'd like to be able to teach people, at least on a basic level; I've taken people shooting for the first time before, of course, but it'd be nice to be able to give them a certificate at the end.
In other news, I found STAND BY ME in a cheap DVD bin. Now *there's* a great movie. Best film Reiner's ever made, and it's just a wonderful flick. Great adaptation of Stephen King's novella, wonderfully shot and acted. "Mickey's a mouse, Donald's a Duck, Pluto's a dog. What's Goofy?" "He's a dog, man." "No, he's not. He wears clothes and drives a car. Pluto doesn't do that." "Damn, that is weird. What the hell *is* Goofy?"
