How long is the donation window open? My next pay check doesn't land for a while, but I want to contribute.

The duration depends on how the fundraising goes -- I don't want to deny anyone a chance to contribute, but because this fundraising is purpose-oriented, if we hit the target amount, that'll be it. So if we reach our goal early, it'll close soon; if not, it'll stay open a while.

This is an awesome idea, and you're a rock star. I've tossed my coins in the jar.

Thanks, Mary!

Though I wouldn't say that I'm a rock star. For one thing, no pictures of my genitals are online, and nobody is slashing me with my best friends.

...that I know of.

*looks suspiciously at you*

Will you still be passing the hat next week?

If the amount is unraised, yes. If not, then we'll still be going on.

Depends on how much spare cash people have, and how much they feel like donating.

Next week contains my favorite holiday, Pay Day, so if it's still unraised, I'll chip in a bit more.

It's not allowing me to give the amount I want to give. :?

Yeah, unfortunately, Amazon has a donation maximum for this kind of thing. However, it *will* cheerfully accept multiple donations of its maximum amount.

So if it tells you that you're not allowed to give as much as you want, then give more than once! (Or use the Paypal.) It's a pain, and I apologize -- but as I've said, we're just going for "working kludge" here.

You've warmed the cockles of my heart with this. Donated and will pimp the drive.

Thanks, minim!

And delighted to hear about the cockles -- I was just going for the sub-cockles, really, so this is all good.
