Very nice! It's good to see the "minor" characters such as Jim Gordon fleshed out so thoroughly.

Thanks! I'm a big fan of Jim; he's not seen in fanfic that often, in part because his plausible deniability means that there are lots of types of interaction he's simply not available for. But he's one of the best characters in the fandom, IMHO.

I really appreciate how subtly you draw him, imperfections and all. He's a good man, but not perfect.

Oh, *Jim*. This is- beautiful. Jim's *yearning* is so real. I love the parallels you draw between the Bats and Jim and Babs, and where they intersect and don't, and Jim's interactions with them, both in and out of costume.
Also, I know nothing about guns, but you included enough that I could pick up from context and still get the point. I like the extra texture that attention to specific detail adds to the universe. (it's so often missing from canon!)

I'm very fond of Jim for his depth of emotion and his care in how he expresses it; he's sensitive, but he's also very careful not to wallow in his emotions or to push them on others. Very old-school, and more heartwarming because he's understated about it.

Thanks very much for the kind words.

Wow. This is one of the best Jim fics I've read. It's not only the characterization; the logic of the fic is itself inherently Gordon's own.

Thanks very much. I hadn't thought about that last point, but you're right; the fic itself does follow Jim's way of doing things. Thank you for pointing that out.
