HBP talk. Don't read if you don't want to remember,...
In honor of HBP, don't be surprised to see a LOT of HBP chat here in this journal. ;) Please share your opinions too! I'll try to put spoilers in the subject area in case any of you don't want to see what I have to say. You'll know to just quickly glance at something else. ;)
My first thought is Ginny. A lot of people are complaining that she hasn't been around in the films enough for her role to be recognized by the "movie only" fans. As we should all know by now, her and Harry officially get together in HBP. I don't think this is going to be a problem at all. Cho all of a sudden showed up also for "movie only" fans and it was pretty clear Harry had a thing for her. Ginny has been in the films enough for the audience to know she's Ron's younger sister. If they remember right, they'll know she had a bit of a crush on Harry in the second film. And although it was easy to miss, if they were paying attention they'd have noticed the couple glares Ginny gave Cho or mention of Cho in OOTP. It's hard to imagine how they're going to fit everything in but I know for me one of the highlights is going to be the kiss between Harry and his future wife. ;) Not to mention Dan and Bonnie are going to be absolutely adorable on screen together. I think their chemistry is going to blow everyone away. I think it'll be easy to show Ginny flirting it up with fellow students and somewhere along the line Harry shows signs he's noticing and that he's starting to feel something he hasn't quite figured out yet. Or to make it more obvious, he can go ahead and shoot nasty stares at whoever it is Ginny is flirting with. I'm just not sure how they're going to fit Quidditch in for the kiss to take place the way it does in the book. And I know poor Rupert was all but promised he'd get to play some Quidditch in film 6. :/
Anyway I'm glad Yates is putting a more "romantic spin" on HBP. I hated the thought of that when I first heard that rumored {{and if it's even true. I'm sure to an extent it is}} But I think it's time the characters are shown in a bit more mature light. And how is that best done than with sex? Of course NOT literal sex. But you all know what I mean. They'll be plenty of making out and lustful looks. But HBP is definitely one of the more creepier stories of the series {in my opinion anyway}} I do not doubt the ending of the film is going to be creepiest yet. Well toward the ending. We all know how it ENDS ends. :/ The movie will definitely deserve is PG-13 rating. {what I'm assuming will be a PG-13 rating}}
