Quilters

The Quilters, in sewing circle, see
it's in every panel; every thread;
in every stitch that may be,

in the quilt held by you and me.
In the pattern of each word said,
the Quilters, in sewing circle, see

faith and trust both dear and free.
Sometimes I follow where I am led,
then times you turn to follow me,

seeking the pattern that will be.
Sewn in patterns to be read
the Quilters, in sewing circle, see

that balance held by you and me.
Of all that is said and unsaid,
in quilt that's been and yet to be,

the Quilters, in sewing circle, see.
The friendship in needle and thread;
the friendship between you and me.
