Brilliant Event: Battle of the Department of Mysteries Part 2
Part 2 of the Battle of the Department of Mysteries Brilliant Event runs from Tuesday, 22 September at 11am PT through 29 September. Once again, the magnificent Orange Wizard has made some infographics to help us prepare, so let's take a peek at those tasks...
Rewards include 15 green Restricted Section Books, 5 DADA Spell Books, 3 red Spell Books, a silver key, 50 gold, one Dark Detector, a Strong Exstimulo Potion, miscellaneous Potions ingredients and 60 Energy.
For Task 1, queue a Regular Invigoration Draught. If you're somewhere where ingredients rarely spawn, emptying Portkey slots should force Portmanteaus to spawn, and picking them up off the map counts for this task. Don't visit the Event Registry during this step in order to speed up the Runestone collection assignment in Task 2.
For Task 2, you'll need to have at least one extra Regular Invigoration Draught in your vault, because you'll need two total. Fingers crossed that the Knight Bus isn't having issues, as you can only quaff Invigoration in a Fortress. Don't queue too many long brewing Potions after Task 1's Invigoration Draught, because you'll need to perform Master Notes twice for this task. Go for something short like an Exstimulo or a Health Potion. Note that you can let a Potion start brewing while still on Task 1, and as long as it's still brewing when you get to this step, you can perform the Master Notes and have it count for the task.
Task 3 is this week's Fortress centric assignment. Baruffio's Brain Elixir will help you get the required Fortress XP together more quickly.
Task 4 looks like it's going to be brutal. Presently we need 500 Brilliant Family XP. (Really hoping they rethink that. Amongst other things, it's a boring grind, and requires a lot of energy.) It's unknown at this point if they've made the same "mistake" as last time (with Brilliant Flitwick and Sprout), that the unplaced images are worth more than the placed ones. We'll have to keep our eyes open for this one. Either way, not placing the Brilliant Family images until we reach this step should help complete the assignment. Also worth noting: Fortresses will give you Family XP whenever it awards a fragment. Chances are it will take less energy than trying to earn the same XP by returning Brilliant Foundables, too, and you have a little more control over it than simply quaffing a TFTD. Additionally, opening event Portkeys is another potentially good source of Family XP.
The Mysterious Note pieces will randomly drop when you return Brilliant Harry Potters and Prophecy Records. They will only drop while you are trying to complete Task 4, and only from those two Foundables.

Note that you can obtain the Brilliant Ginny Weasley Portkey Fragments required to fill your Registry as Bonus rewards. For maximum efficiency, if you intend to complete the bonus, try not to open Event Portkeys before collecting the Bonus reward. If you need to, say for the Family XP requirement in Task 4, try to open five of them and place Ginny before you collect the Bonus reward. Just be sure to remember to collect your rewards before the event ends.
Brilliant Portkeys for this event have once again been reduced to 1.5km! Remember, Part 1 Portkeys will give you part 1 rewards anytime you open them, so you need to pick up the ones you'll need in order to get the Fragments for your registries during *this* event. As in the past, you don't have to unlock them now, as long as they are in your inventory, you can buy yourself some time.
As usual, there's a Bonus Assignment after the main tasks are completed. Make sure to look for these in-game.

If you have the time and Runestones for more battles, Ruins 2 will consume the least energy for the task. Using Event Runestones will help you place images more quickly.
And again there will be freebies and bundles.
