Brilliant Event: First Year at Hogwarts Part 2
Part 2 of the Baby Beasts Brilliant Event runs from Tuesday, 25 August at 11am PT through 01 September. Some people have gotten stuck, so here are some tips to help you complete the tasks. As usual, the ever wonderful Orange Wizard has made some infographics to help us, so let's take a look at those tasks.
Rewards include 15 green Restricted Section Books, 5 DADA Spell Books, 3 red Spell Books, a silver key, 50 gold, one Dark Detector, a Strong Invigoration Draught, miscellaneous Potions ingredients and 60 Energy.
Do not place Hogwarts School Family images in your registries until you reach Task 3. It will help you reach your goals faster.
Do not place Brillant Flitwick or Sprout until you've completed the week. I don't know what they were thinking, but you get five or six Brilliant Family XP for placing these images, yet you only get 3 Family XP for each one you return thereafter. If you don't place them, that increases to 4, each and every time, which nets you up to 14-15 more Family XP for the same number returned. This will help speed things up on Task 4, Earn 300 Brilliant Family XP, and help you earn more Runestones in total. Caveat: you'll have to not place it each time you return one, which gets old.
Stuck on Task 4 Brilliant Family XP: Fortresses will give you Family XP whenever it awards a fragment. Chances are it will take less energy than trying to earn the same XP by returning Brilliant Foundables, too, and you have a little more control over it than simply quaffing a TFTD. Additionally, opening event Portkeys is another potentially good source of Family XP.
The Mysterious Note pieces will randomly drop when you return Brilliant Flitwick and Sprout. They will only drop while you are trying to complete Task 4, and only from those two Foundables.

Note that you can obtain the Brilliant Professor Slughorn Portkey Fragments required to fill your Registry as Bonus rewards. For maximum efficiency, if you intend to complete the bonus, try not to open Event Portkeys before collecting the Bonus reward. If you need to, say for the Family XP requirement in Task 4, try to open five of them and place Sluggy before you collect the Bonus reward. Just be sure to remember to collect your rewards before the event ends.
Brilliant Portkeys for this event have once again been reduced to 1.5km! As a reminder, Part 1 Portkeys will give you part 1 rewards anytime you open them, so you need to pick up the ones you'll need in order to get the Fragments for your registries during *this* event. As in the past, you don't have to unlock them now, as long as they are in your inventory, you can buy yourself some time.
Once again, there's a Bonus Assignment after the main tasks are completed. Make sure to look for these in-game.

Baruffio's will help with the XP. TFTD will help with the 45 Brilliant Foundables. The Formidable Foes are best found soloing the Fortress levels from Ruins 2 to Tower 2. If you have the time and Runestones for more battles, Ruins 2 will consume the least energy for the task.
As usual, there will be freebies and bundles.
