Petunia (again :p)
So in SS/PS it states that Petunia hasn't spoken with or heard from her sister in "several years."
And yet she knows that Lily gave birth, and named him Harry.
Now who the hell would she have heard this from?
-It wouldn't have been a parent of theirs or common relative. Their parents were presumably dead, which is why Harry has to go live with the Dursleys. And Harry makes no mention of ever knowing anybody from his mother's side of the family - the only extended family he mentions is Marge. Vernon even suggests her, who is of no relation to Harry, when they're looking for a place to keep him while the rest of them go to the zoo. If Harry had closer relatives, wouldn't they be suggested before Marge?
-it presumably wouldn't have been from somebody in the Wizarding World, since she's *allegedly* shunned it in all its forms. She wants nothing to do with it.... right? Right? ;)
Any thoughts or ideas? If I didn't have any sort of a common link between a person, and I hadn't spoken to them in several years, I certainly wouldn't know their child's name.
