Some notes before we post the next theme - THIS COMING EVENING!

Jan 20, 2011 23:26

Hello, lovely reccers!

As songquake and dwarfandelf prepare to open a new theme TOMORROW (squee!), we have a few notes we would like to let the community know about.

1. Since some people use the LJ comment lists as the rec list for specific themes, we are now going to ask for some more information in the rec comments. Please don't let not knowing a specific bit of information keep you from reccing something, though! If need be, we can reply to your comment with the information you didn't have handy.

2. Both the Delicious Master List and the LiveJournal Master List are up-to-date as of the Tuesday that just passed!
At the minute, we have over 1300 fanworks recced for twenty-six themes!

3. When reccing something, please give us a working link. If you want to be a superstar, please give us a link to the work on a site you don't have to join in order access (that is, in order to see some things on AdultFanFiction, The RestrictedSection, DeviantArt, and some other sites, one must have an account with that service).

4. Please continue suggesting themes! We're always on the lookout for themes to add to our list of possibilities. If we have already addressed that theme, we shall reply to your comment, letting you know where you can deposit your recommendations.

5. Please continue posting recs on our past themes! Seriously, if you see something incredible, do add it to the appropriate themes so that others who love that theme can see it, too! You can find the original theme list either by going to the Master List of Recs, or by clicking on the tag for the theme (tags are listed on the community's LiveJournal page).

6. Remember that this is a rec list, not an archive list. We take all kinds of pairings, all kinds of genres, all kinds of warnings. What we ask is that you only recommend stories and art that are favourites, rather than just anything that fits the theme of the week. (We also require that the fanworks be within the Harry Potter universe/fandom.)

A final note:

7. hpthemes DOES NOT PROVIDE WARNINGS FOR WORKS RECCED. PLEASE HEED THE AUTHOR'S WARNINGS WHEN DECIDING WHETHER TO VIEW A FANWORK.

We are very much looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with for our next theme, which shall be announced TOMORROW!

Love,
songquake and dwarfandelf
