We haven't had many art recs, but reccing art is definitely allowed! So thank you for sharing that with us!
To your second question: Yes, we welcome recs for older themes; please make sure they are added to the correct post and not to later ones (like the most recent). When jaime27 started our community, she advised members that additions to older rec lists would be added to the del.icio.us list as she had time; this is still the case (possibly even more so!).
We do not close the threads; in fact, we occasionally host "Catch-up Weeks" to remind members that they can (and should) keep adding to the lists. We do want to maintain an excellent list of recs by theme, and the best way to do so is to continually update it.
Thank you so much for your contributions present and future, and for asking such great questions! One of the items on the mods' Task List is to create a FAQ page, and these are great ones for us to include.

Author's Summary: Hermione watches Harry in a porno movie and has to find out why. We follow their adventure as they discover why Squibs are missing. Contains Slash, Het and Multiple Partners.
Contributor's comments: This may be an abandoned WIP, but the final chapter (updated 2 years ago) leaves us at a point that is not a cliffy. I actually did follow it for several years. As you might guess, it's porntastic, but the kidnapping aspect is a huge part of the second half of the story.

This is one of the only two DM/HG fics i ever liked. The characterizations are spot on, the tension and direness of the entire situation always has you on the edge of your seat and their not quite relationship is really lovely. Not to mention its completely canon compliant (well until the epilouge at least, but then again who doesnt ignore the epilouge)
