Kitchenaide 2011
I've recently been baking and cooking alot more often than usual and have really really enjoyed it. After I got married, I needed to adjust my cooking style/flavour to find something that would be agreeable with both Ev and I and as a result, I've actually not tried old recipes.
Actually, One of the things I really really miss is sweet savoury food. Y'know, like honey-glazed chickens. So when the sister made some super yummy wings last night, I readliy helped myself to about 5 pieces!
It's also got me thinking about what I'd like my kitchen to be like and I'm going to embark on a mission to redo my kitchen with gadgets and things that I would really like and use. And here's my list, in no particular order:
1. Convectional oven
It's too late to put in 1 now but I'm keeping my eye out for a good portable one. Nothing like the smell of buttery delights wafting through the kitchen.
2. Nespresso machine
This is a purely indulgent item but I deserve to treat myself! I'm specifically eyeing the Citiz w/o milk frother.
3. Silicone egg poacher
Josephjoseph had a really cool one but I'll take anything that looks close enough. So FINALLY, I can poach eggs.
4. Cutting board and knife set
Our present set is actually pretty good but I need something that I can sharpen with abit more ease. I've seen a couple that I'd like but knives, like underwear, is something you need to use for abit before you can figure out if it's any good. Josephjoseph's novelty cutting board is a great idea but is more aesthetic than functional.
There are a few other items I'd like such as a dutch oven but let's take things one day at a time.
