The moderators would again like to thank those of you who have made contributions to our community by voting as well as making suggestions. Believe me, we take each suggestion very seriously. In light of that, we are adding 6 sub-categories to the Art category as was suggested by mayflo. They are as follows:
Best Traditional Media
Best Digital Media
Best Comic
Best Experimental Art
Best Experimental Artist
Best Emerging Artist
The moderators will not currently be adding any further sub-categories to the Fanfiction or Art categories due the constraints of Real Life commitments, but we thank each and everyone of you for all of your comments and suggestions.
We would also like you to note that if a journal or site is locked due to the nature of its explicit content we will not be able to take that submission into consideration. That is not to say that we will not accept submissions of a graphic nature. We will not accept locked submissions.
We decided this after due consideration. We want everyone to share in the hposcars experience, which would we would be unable to do if the material is locked on a journal or site. We believe, also, that it would be a violation of the journal or site owner's personal policy.
We also would like to remind everyone that our submission deadline of Saturday, February 11 is fast approaching. Many of the categories have quite a few submissions while some have fewer than 5 or none. Please take a moment to submit your favorite piece of art, story, icon or journal layout.
