on the 21 of July 2004 a few friends and i were given the opportunity to perform for a show in NY. not only did we blow the shit out the frame but we managed to promote and make a pretty good amount of resources. during intermission our demo was played and heard throughout the stadium. it felt good to actually see people boppin their heads and singing the hook to a song they just heard. once we returned backstage one of the staff members asked us how many songs we had on the demo and we were lucky to have 8 because 3 of the acts didn't come thru. about 2 minutes later the hype man took the stage and asked if everyone was enjoying the show i swear i almost threw up on some bitch man shit. all the fucking rumbling and nervousness got to me. eventually i got some air and pulled shit together. they started playing the intro to one of the songs "Crushin". soon you actually heard the people singing the words before we could step on stage. it felt like we were out for so long you were surrounded in a room full of friends. so we did our thing and midway thru the song was mixed to "Crushin [rmx]". the show started jumpin and followed with a few more songs we were working on and though we didn't end the show. we left a damn big impression on many people. - Inspired by A New Beginning ...
