Smarties, Sisters and Sundry
Did I ever mention how impressed I was with my students this semester? Well, they've done it again! I am really amazed at the creative (yet scientific) thinking coming out of these young people. It really makes teaching such an enjoyable experience. Though, I would not go as far to say that it replaces my first passion in my profession: research. But this is precisely the reason I'm having such a wonderful time -- my course is on how to go about conducting/consuming political science research. It's a mixture of two good things! Like chocolate and peanut butter, Brad and Jen (or Jolie, depending), B.Dan and fanny-packs, Brandy and Sephora...I could go on.
I have a crazy weekend planned. My sisters (Amy and Emily) and mom (Nancy) are coming to College Station. They will be here from this afternoon until Sunday. This is part of an effort being made by all of us to see each other as much as possible before Thomas and I move in a few months. Before I go today, I want to wish a very happy anniversary to Dunia and Salah (for Saturday)! Five years is a benchmark! Thomas and I love you both so much. Also, special congrats to Jason (of Brandy and Jason) who recently landed an interview back in the Lone Star State. Hope everyone has a good, nay, great weekend!
