Yesterday LeahC and I decided to explore the great unknowns of Bycentennial Park, where niether of us had ever been to before.
we decided to venture into this trail/path opening to see where it would take us
"knock knock, anyone at home?"
We followed the red trail for the most part
and had to crawl through some thicket
Leahc quickly tired of the thickets however
so we turned around and headed up an extremly long, steep hill
leahc looked to the trees for climbing support
soon it became quite riduculously steep and we clung to roots to continue upwards
Then we spotted a body of water and veered off the path and down a cliff to get to it
I love her
we waded about the stream for a while
and had our first encounter with wildlife- a dragonfly
spare tire?
I was all up and in that babbling brook
we had some difficulties scrambling back up the cliff
and got a little lost...
but finally came out at the other end of the field
we had to stop for a break halfway across the field
then whilst driving we encountered a turtle in the middle of the road..so we stopped and brought it to safety at willard pond
we then picked up haley and ventured to Ragged Mountain for some more exploring
leahc and I love our streams..we waded up this one and found a bridge to pose on
explorers
leahc loves her some goats...so we stopped to say hi
this one really liked us
he was a cutie
at the end of the day I had my second animal rescue of the day and saved this toad at work from hopping to its death in the batting cages
and of course I cant leave out my most favorite animal of them all...ELLIOT<3333
